Working with designer, Ann Runyon Carter on her daughter’s
wedding announcement was a bit of a love-fest. The mother and daughter team
even brought a bottle of wine to our first appointment, which cemented our
friendship instantly! Ann is best known
in our area for her interior design work infused with a heaping dose of
“southern soul” - and her expansive client list includes Mississippi-born
celebrity Sela Ward.
Materials and quality were important to the Carters, who
were planning a celebration for a large group of friends and family following
an intimate family wedding. Incorporating the artwork of a local calligrapher
that is a dear friend of hers was also part of the equation. After browsing
through many beautiful samples, the deciding factor was a particular shade of
grey engraving by the Arzburger team that spoke to both Ann and Becca.
Printed on a double-thick pearly-white card, the pale grey
engraving of etherial hand-penned calligraphy is a classic. A soft grey tissue liner is a finishing touch
to the envelope. Ann expressed during
one of our meetings that “glitz” is not
really her style; they love elegance and classic style with distinctive
touches. Their invitation beautifully
reflects the design theme seen in her interior design work.
