When designer and textile purveyor Rebecca Vizard visited Fresh Ink to design a rehearsal dinner invitation for her son's upcoming wedding, it was clear from the beginning she had a distinguishing eye. Renowned for her luxe hand-crafted pillows created from vintage European textiles, it's no surprise that Rebecca immediately fell in love with a layered look for the creation. Because the invite needed to retain a bit of a masculine feel on behalf of the groom, we combined a faux bois backer card underneath a textured card with a decorative antler monogram. A natural twine tie added the finishing rustic but elegant detail. The finished piece was mailed in a square envelope with a coordinating faux bois envelope liner.
